Making cars more efficient is key to a real revolution in personal transportation. At the finals of the Progressive X Prize -- awarded to the most efficient practical car over 100mpg -- judges were surprised that the final winner was not an electric, but rather the liquid fuel powered Very Light Car from the Edison2 team. Edison2 is enhancing their design (and making an electric version) to generate the world's most efficient consumer car. Oliver Kuttner, CEO and Founder of Edison2 talks about what they did, and what they are doing to build such a car, with a focus on reducing vehicle weight. This includes their novel suspension which carries the car with far less weight and bulk than conventional systems, and talk about a variety of techniques on their plan to make a 4-seater that uses less energy than anything out there.
